Powder coatings for MDF – coating of heat-sensitive materials without damage to the materials
Three factors are particularly important when coating heat-sensitive materials: the quality of the material, the plant engineering used and the quality of the powder coating.
FreiLacke offers two different coating technologies for this delicate task: low-temperature powder coatings and infrared/UV powder coatings.
Low-temperature powder coatings
With the low-temperature coatings from FreiLacke, it is possible to bake materials at a temperature of approx. 130°C without damaging the materials. Infrared furnace technology is generally used for hardening and, with more temperature-resistant materials, also the convection oven.
Infrared/UV powder coatings
With IR/UV powder coatings, the powder coating is heated via infrared technology and then hardened with UV radiation within a few seconds. A definite advantage: very quick throughput times and low temperatures. The method is particularly suitable for flat parts (e.g. fronts of furniture units).
Which technology is the right one for you?
